Kohl’s temporarily closed all its stores nationwide Thursday to help contain the ever-growing coronavirus pandemic, the company announced.

The company’s stores had already closed in central Pennsylvania.

“To demonstrate our support of the efforts underway to contain the spread of the coronavirus, we are closing all Kohl’s stores through at least April 1," company CEO Michelle Gass said in a statement. "We will support store associates with two calendar weeks of pay.”

The company, along with several other retailers, had previously announced that it had cut its hours, earlier this week.

Customers can still use Kohls.com and the Kohl’s App and will shop and have items shipped to their homes.
